STF is a registered Non-Profit and Public Benefit organisation.
Founded in 2011, we are committed to our mission of taking care of our town's natural beauty and trails. Given that we do not receive any municipal funding, we are completely reliant on individual and corporate donations to perform our duties.
We have two main focus areas: firstly, we maintain over 50km of single-track mountain bike trails on municipal land all across Stellenbosch. This includes the trails on Botmaskop, G-Spot, and Eden Forest in Paradyskloof. These trails are open to the public to use free of charge. Our second focus area is the five kilometer stretch of the Eerste River running through town. We do alien clearing and rubbish removal on a daily basis, and plant numerous new trees each year. Our management team are all volunteers and our trail maintenance team consists of eight full-time employed staff.

Join Stellies Shakeout
Stellies Shakeout is a community lead social trail run. Every Thurs evening 6PM in Stellenbosch. It's free to participate - all levels of runners, and walkers.
The post-run are drinks are free, but all donations go to STF!
